Career/ Experience

Recently an employee of Department of Water Affairs Botswana, under Hydrology and Water Resources division as Principal Hydrological Engineer. Joined the Department in October 2003. Responsible for Water Resources Assessments, Data analysis and management. From 2003 to 2006 was part of the hydrologists configuring a hydrological model(MIKE SHE/MIKE 11) for the Okavango Delta under the Okavango Delta Management Plan (ODMP) project. 2008 to 2009 part of  Okavango River Basin Water Commission (OKACOM) hydrologist configuring the WEAP model for Environmental Flow Assessment (EFA) of the Okavango River Baisn under the Environmental Protection and Sustainable Management of the Okavango River Basin (EPSMO) project. 2010 up to date, part of the Botswana Eco - Health project addressing the impacts of climate change on flood recession (Molapo) farming in the Okavango delta. Takes part in the Botswana National Climate Change Comitte and National Disaster Committee. 

 

Research Interest

Main research areas include, water resources assesments for, planning, management and protection, Wetlands Hydrology, flood studies, Climate Change invesigations and impacts on water resources.
